Yoga 101 (Beginners Workshop)

What to expect
This workshop will offer you a non-intimidating environment in which to begin or better your yoga practice. Our focus will incorporate lecture and asana practice while learning the Sanskrit and Western names of staple poses, their benefits, contraindications, proper positioning, adjustments, and modifications. In addition, we will discuss what yoga is, some different styles offered at Solace, proper etiquette, a brief background and philosophy, pranayama, and meditation.

Yoga for Athletes

What to expect
Join Steve "Krojo" on Sunday, May 20th for a yoga workshop designed for athletes. This workshop is open to athletes of all ages! Yoga is a wonderful supplement to any regular athletic regimen.
This workshop is perfect for teen athletes! It is beneficial to establish a yoga practice at a young age. Not only will yoga compliment their athletic activity, it will also provide them with other useful tools for overall health and well-being.
This workshop is perfect for adult athletes! Are you feeling tight or sore after years of intense athletic activity? Yoga can help you lengthen tight muscles while strengthening mind, body, and spirit. Do you like to play sports, run, cycle, swim, lift weights, etc.?
Yoga for athletes will focus on breath and body awareness while targeting major muscle groups. The practice will improve breathing techniques, posture, strength, and flexibility. Invite a friend or your

Summer Yoga Day Camp
Date: June 25 - June 29

What to expect
The Solace Yoga Team excitedly invites your child to join us for a fun and creative yoga experience this summer!
Campers will explore yoga through motion, games, art, and other activities- all in a supportive, nurturing, non-competitive environment. Children will learn asanas, breathing techniques, mindfulness, and awareness.
The benefits of yoga for young people are numerous and just simply make sense for young developing minds and psyches.
Cost of the camp is $150 ($125 for early registrants). Cost of camp includes daily classes given to children, arts & crafts, camp t-shirt, and all other materials. A 20% discount is given for additional siblings. You can enjoy a $25 discount if you REGISTER EARLY ($125 for registering by May27th 2012). All registrations after May 27th will be the full $150. Registration will close June 10th and we will not take any more registrants after this date. If you have multiple children you may use the promo code "20KID" to get 20% off your second enrolled child.
Cancellation Policy: Solace Yoga reserves the right to cancel camp due to low registration or extraordinary circumstances. Registrants will be informed of cancellation a minimum of one week prior to start date of camp. In the case that Solace Yoga needs to cancel camp, refunds will be provided in full to registered students. 2012 Summer Camp registrants who need to cancel must do so by June 10th and refunds will be provided, minus a $25 administrative fee. Absolutely no refunds will be given after June 10th. Camp registrations cannot be transferred to other campers.
Workshop/Series Policy
Full payment is required to reserve a space in a workshop or a 4-week series. Refunds will only be given for cancellations made 48 hours or more prior to workshop start date. No refunds will be given for cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to workshop start time.
