Yoga Instructors

All Solace Yoga Studio instructors are certified yoga instructors registered with the Yoga Alliance® or are teachers in training in a school accredited by the Yoga Alliance. All teachers in training are guided by a senior yoga instructor with an RYT or E-RYT designation. Our yoga instructors are specifically trained to make adjustments and modifications for yogis of all levels.

Solace Yoga Studio instructors with an RYT or E-RYT behind their name have graduated from a school accredited by the Yoga Alliance® and Solace Yoga Studio requires those teachers to be certified and registered with the Yoga Alliance®. The Yoga Alliance® is the national education and support organization for yoga in the United States. It is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization that maintains a national Yoga Teachers' Registry.

Yoga teachers registered with the Yoga Alliance® are authorized to use the initials "RYT® (Registered Yoga Teacher) after their name or the initials “E-RYT® (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) if they have significant teaching experience in addition to RYT training. RYT’s have met minimum training standards and E-RYT’s have significant teaching experience.

As yoga’s many health benefits become more publicized in the US, yoga is now offered in health clubs, corporate settings, fitness centers and even hospital-based wellness programs. The rising demand for yoga instructors has brought with it the issue and need for certification. Certification assures students that a yoga teacher has made the commitment to reach a certain skill level, has invested time, money, and energy to acquire the skills and knowledge to become a certified yoga teacher.
